Welcome to Townsville Foster and Rehoming Animals! Thank you for stopping by
and taking the time to learn a bit more about us.
The beginning of our organisation start and ends with Angela Atkinson, our Director, Manager, as well as heart and soul. In August 2011, Angela saw a need. A need for a group that would help with the pets across Townsville, from all walks of life. Puppies and kittens that couldn’t be taken care of properly by their family, pets that need to be re-homed because of a change of family circumstances, or just animals that have been abandoned or found lost.
It’s true that there are a multitude of similar groups across Queensland, as well as Townsville specifically, but Angela wanted things to be different. She wanted her group to have a personal touch, with foster carers as family and every person that adopts an animal a new friend. Angela felt that too many groups have become too focused on their reputation as a successful rescue and forget the human touch that is necessary for any of these types of groups to work.
Thus, our mission statement is as follows: to save our dogs, cats, kittens, and puppies that cannot speak and do not have the ability to save themselves, and by doing this, bring joy to people who find room in their hearts to love these animals and give them forever homes.
